Bring A Smile To 1 Child

Thank you for contributing in some way to the last 21 celebrations of “Bring A Smile To 1 Child.”  We are preparing/organizing for this year’s celebration (Our 22nd !).  

We are collecting the toys/gifts for “Bring A Smile To 1 Child” for Underprivileged Children, 22nd Annual, up to Saturday, Dec 7th which is the Celebration day at one of our partner organizations location in Washington Heights, New York City from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM (usually held in Montvale, NJ).

We thank all the individuals that help us out year after year with this Special Event.   Amongst contributing companies / organizations throughout the years are Montvale Church, The Borough of Montvale, Verizon, Blue Ribbon Realty, Capri Cakes/Capri Bakery, DataBridge Marketing, P.S. 189M, Pyramid Network Services, Ericsson, AT&T, Lendlease, T-Mobile, Davey’s, Ridgemont, Azteca, Marc’s Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, Uncle Louis, Bellissimo, many Montvale families and others. Thank You for Bringing Smiles to so many children.

At the celebration we expect close to 300 children (including parents) and they will enjoy Music, Clowns, Crafts; lots of good food and Toys/Gifts with a visit by Mr. and Mrs. Santa and a “THE WAY” martial arts demonstration.

We used to collect the Toys/Gifts unwrapped and wrap them ourselves.  We are asking for your help in wrapping the gift(s) you are donating (as we have done the last few years).  Please add a label on the outside of each gift/toy with the following info:  Gender (Boy or Girl), Age, and a short description of the toy/gift (example:  Boy, age 10, a football).

With your support we are being led to add another layer to our Celebration as we partner with organizations in Bolivia (EL JORDAN) and in the Dominican Republic (FUNDACIÓN BONAO PARA LA CULTURA – MUSEO CÁNDIDO BIDÓ).  With your help we  have a goal to BRING SMILES to approximately 300 children in the mentioned countries.

Making many children Smile via this event is only possible when so many generous loving people come together and give their Time, Talents and Money.  Thank You !

We are requesting that you partner with us again, this year to make the “Bring A Smile To 1 Child” celebration (for underprivileged children) another success for the 2024 version, the 22nd Celebration.

Here are some ways that you can help:

1.Donate a Toy/Gift, averaging about $15 to $20 for a Boy or Girl.  Pick from the list below (children newborn to age 18) and Donate a Gift or Toy.  Please try not to wait until the last day of December 7th.

2.     If you are unable to go out and buy Toys/Gifts, please feel free to donate the funds and we will go out and buy the Toys/Gifts.

3.     Gift Wrap Big Boxes to have donors put the toys/gifts in collection sites.

4.     Donate Your Time for buying toys or wrapping (for unwrapped toys).

5.  In addition to the Toys/Gifts we need financial support for buses to transport the children, for insurance, DJ, Clowns, any missing food, missing gifts, and other prep expenses.

Below, please find the list for Gifts/Toys for participating children in New York/ New Jersey, USA.  The first column indicates the age of the child, the second column indicates the number of gifts/toys needed for BOYS and the third column indicates the number of gifts/toys needed for GIRLS.

Thank you for making the 21^st Annual “Bring A Smile To 1 Child” Celebration another Success to fill Precious Children with Joy!!  over 100 children (many with their Parents) from NYC and from the Montvale, NJ area enjoyed a Fabulous Time.  THANK YOU !

Special Thank you to the 17 Students of “The Way – The Art of life” for their Participation in the Martial Arts Demonstration during the Celebration.

Making so many children Happy is only possible when so many generous loving people come together and give their Time, Talents and Money.  THANK YOU !  The children enjoyed Music, Clown, Crafts, Food, a “The Way” Martial Arts Demonstration and Toys that they took home.
